“home hill garden sky” is a vibrant, poetic exploration of Brisbane’s suburban life. Amy Ruth’s joyful paintings feature layer geology, gardens, and home with bold colour, simplified forms, and new impasto textures to reimagine place, memory, and belonging.

Hello, I'm Amy Ruth!
My paintings are vibrant, bold, and eye-catching. I love using bright colours that evoke feelings of joy and delight.
I paint imaginative urban-themed environments, landscapes, gardens, wilderness, mountains, and character houses. The palettes of my paintings are consistently strikingly vivid, bringing energy and life to harmonious compositions.
With a background in landscape architecture and urban design, my passion for placemaking is a key influence on my art.
I aim to create an “sense of place” and a utopic vision, which is often inspired by my home in Queensland, Australia.
